Located just five (5) miles southeast of Interstate Highway I-75 at Bridgeport (Exit 144), the Frankenmuth Development Center is easily accessible to federal and state highways including M-83, M-46, M-15, M-54 and M-57. On the eastern edge of Saginaw County, Frankenmuth is well situated to service Saginaw, Bay, Midland and Genesee Counties, as well as Michigan’s Thumb and Michigan at-large.
Access to Frankenmuth. With an extensive network of Class A roads and highways, both Frankenmuth businesses and commuters find easy access on well-maintained roads suited for their business or pleasure activities. Additionally, Frankenmuth is served by two major airports and two local airports. Just twenty (20) miles from Frankenmuth, Flint Bishop International Airport (located at I-75 and US-69) serves both passesnger and frieght customers. Using the call letters FNT, Flint Bishop completed a major expansion and renovation in 2006. MBS International Airport is located in Freeland, Michigan. Less than 25 miles from Frankenmuth, MBS also serves passenger and freight customers. MBS is undergoing a major expansion and multi-million renovation now. Both airports provide direct flights to major markets or connect with Detroit Metro (DTW) to facilitate air travel. Local airports provide distinct service, as well. Harry Browne Airport (Saginaw/8 miles) provides service for corporate jets and freight. The Tiny Zehnder Airfield in Frankenmuth services small privately owned planes. Locating the Frankenmuth Development Center. The Frankenmuth Development Center, located at 210 N. Franklin, is positioned near the corner of Genesee and Franklin Streets (both Class A roads) taking advantage of the many professional and personal services available in Frankenmuth and the region. South of the property is the City Township Government Center and Public Safety Building. East of the property is general commercial anchoring Frankenmuth’s North Main Street (M-83). North of the site is undeveloped City-owned property (also zoned industrial). Apartments, located west of the site, are separated by large green space, a berm and trees. Closest access to I75 is via Genesee Street and the Dixie Highway, north through Bridgeport.
