About Frankenmuth Public Schools.

Frankenmuth Public Schools provide educational opportunities for students in kindergarten through high school.  The district includes all of the City of  Frankenmuth, Frankenmuth Township and parts of Birch Run Township, Blumfield Township and Tuscola Township.

Known throughout the State of Michigan for its high academic standards, the Frankenmuth School District student performance is.consistently reflected through state and national testing with average scores that are well above average.  On the 2007-2008 State of Michigan Education Yes Report Card, List Elementary, EF Rittmueller Middle School, and Frankenmuth High School each received a composite grade of A. The North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement accredits all three schools. 

The Frankenmuth School District was recently recognized as a 2009 What Parents Want Award Winning School.   This designation given by School Match, the nation's largest school selection consultant firm, which recognized only 16% of the  nations 15,571 public schools districts meeting the needs of families choosing schools.  Schools honored by School Match are noted for the following:

About St. Lorenz Lutheran School

St. Lorenz Lutheran School provides parochial faith-based education for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.  Their motto is A STRONG FOUNDATION encourages scholarship.

Students are challenged with a well-developed curriculum and instructed by highly qualified teachers. St. Lorenz provides a solid foundation for success in higher education while also understanding that students are unique in their educational needs. St. Lorenz is a nationally accredited school.

Higher Ed:  Trade Schools, Community Colleges & Universities

Conveniently located along the I-75 Corridor, Frankenmuth students of all ages have access to many kinds of traditional and non-traditional higher education. 

Popular Delta College (two-year community college) and a variety of schools featuring associate degrees in health, technology and other hot curriculums are within easy driving distance of Frankenmuth.  Other trade or technology oriented schools include Baker College, Davenport University, and Mott Community College.

Traditional four-year institutions within a thirty-minute drive include Saginaw Valley State University, Northwood UniversityUM Flint,  and Kettering University.   Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant), the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Michigan State University (in East Lansing) are within sixty minutes..  Courses in undergrad and grad programs are easily accessible and affordable.
